Insightful, poignant, filled with reverence and wonder

On my list of most useful!

Funny, insightful, an easy read

Incredible Time Saver for Decorating Your Home

Healing through writing

With this smilePam has chosen to include some prose in which she shares with us some snapshots about her life - holidaying at Gumpy's beach, her thoughts about aging gracefully ('Will I have to be sexy at 60?'), wonderbras, the realities of keeping chickens, the feelings of parents as a child's sports team is mercilessly thrashed...the list goes on.
My favourite is 'Yes, I'll marry you, my dear' which explains the practicalities of marriage from a uniquely female perspective!
As in all her poetry, Pam has a special ability to make us laugh.

The pictures are worth every penny!

Excellent and valuable guide to hand toolsI just popped on to Amazon to see what other books the author has because this one was so good - saw there were no reviews so thought I would just add my 2c
- detailed and comprehensive
- magnificent colour photos throughout
- every topic, every tool jam packed with gems of tips, it seemed that everything had something new to add
- tells you what, why, how for every tool imaginable
note this is for HAND tools that means hand powered, NOT electric tools held in your hand, we're talking chisels etc.. here, but also things such as vices, sharpening stones etc.. etc.. it covers all the traditional tools.
very good, well worth a look, even if you experienced it is a good read, and if you are a beginner, well it is excellent

sculpture can teach so muchreally look deep into the meaning and beauty of this famous
work of art. For example when the author studies the eyes
of Mary he shows us things that we have never seen before. He looks at her hands and sees insights into life and suffering
in her hands.......He even looks at the savage attack made on
this beautiful sculpture and shows us that we can learn much
from that also...this book would be a perfect Lenten meditation,
or a book for someone who is suffering in the hospital and trying to find meaning in all the suffering...READ IT AND YOU WILL WANT TO SHARE IT WITH SOMEONE YOU LOVE...

Pianists, you need this book!
